Is there parking nearby?There are several pay and display car parks within walking distance of the venue, the closest being behind the Zellig Building. See all options Please note that there are currently road works and road closures in the area. Be sure to plan your journey in advance.

What is the dress code?Our dress code will be formal, but most importantly, we want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration. So, whether you prefer classic formal attire, or feel more at ease in smart casual wear, the choice is yours!

Birmingham Clean Air Zone chargesOur venue sits within the Birmingham Clean Air Zone which means you may have to pay to bring your vehicle in to the city. This charge is £8 per day, but your vehicle may be exempt. Check if your vehicle is exempt

The Great Birmingham RunOn Sunday 4th May 2025 the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run 10k and Half Marathon will take place for 15,000 participants and involve some road closures in the city centre. Road closures have been agreed with Birmingham City Council that will affect roads into and within the city centre. The road closures will be implemented in phases (closures between 04:30 – 08:00 and re-openings between 12:00 – 16:00). Please see the attached information for details of roads to be closed and timings

Is there accommodation?The Old Library has no accommodation, we have listed some over on our hompage, but there are many more nearby.

Is there a gifts registry?We have chosen to create a honeymoon fund in place of a more traditional registry. For this we are using Collctiv to accept contributions which can be added to here To ensure you are not charged any extra fees use the dropdown menu to choose 'Don’t support Collctiv’.

Is the venue a cashless venue?No – the bar accepts both card and cash. There are also a number of cashpoints within walking distance if needed.

Is there disabled access?The Old Library is accessible from both Gibb Street and Heath Mill Lane. The Old Library does have a few steps up to the main entrance on Gibb Street. However, there is a double door, ground level access to the rear of the building on Heath Mill Lane for wheelchair users. There is also an access toilet and baby changing facilities in the venue.

Confetti policyThe venue only allows biodegradable confetti and has asked that it remains outside of the venue on their artificial grass steps. Don't worry about this, we have you covered.
